Your mission
You love crunching numbers, building models and helping other team members understand what really goes on? Then this could be the perfect role for you.
Your mission as a data analyst is to help us as a company define a) what questions we should ask and b) answer those questions through data-based insights across all functions.
Which marketing channel works best? What Track Titan feature actually matters the most to people vs. what people say? The list of crucial insights we need is endless and your job is to help us get them - across all functions.
You will report directly to the founder and CEO and work closely with teams across all functions to crunch billions of data points coming from multiple sources. This role also has the scope to branch out further into topics such as investor reporting and to work with the tech and data/ML teams to build an even more sophisticated analytics function.
Your profile
We are less interested in a specific, linear career path but in what potential you bring to the table. We don't care if you're still in high school or retired; we care about you being a beast at what you do. This role is fairly flexible when it comes to seniority but you need at least some real-world analytics and data experience to excel in it. Whilst we will happily consider more experienced applicants, this is not a managerial role.
Below are the key requirements for this role.
- This is one of the most quantitative roles in this company. As a result, you need to think your way through data structures, SQL code and what the numbers actually mean in your sleep. There is a big difference between "just" being good at maths and being great at manipulating data and thinking about all the reasons why an analysis might be skewed. We firmly need the latter.
- How you can demonstrate this effectively is part of how we will assess you. Whether it is a STEM degree from a top university, work experience, or something else; we are aware that there are many paths to being great with data.
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel and BI tools such as Looker Studio. Experience with data warehouse solutions and Python is a plus.
- You need to mix academic rigour with speed and the ability and willingness to spread your time between diving deep and quick and dirty analyses. Some days will feel like a mini PhD; others like the house is on fire.
- You don't necessarily need to be into simracing already but you must be excited about the prospect of getting into it. Only through actually understanding our users will you be able to do effective analytics work.
- This is an early-stage startup with billion-dollar ambitions. This means you will be pushed to and beyond your limits. Those who excel at Track Titan see this as a good thing enabling ultra-fast career- and skills-progression.
